Regional Category Manager - Women's Wear

We are looking for a talented Regional Category Manager - Women's Apparel to be based in our Singapore HQ. Reporting directly to the Regional Category Director, the Regional Category Manager - Women's Apparel will be responsible for the P&L of the WW Lifestyle category, accounting for significant annual budget across multiple Southeast Asia markets, pushing assortment strategy and establishing supplier relations to drive the overall direction of the business unit forward, championing brand development and brand acquisition.  

While managing and developing a team of Buyer(s) and Assistant Buyer(s), the Regional Category Manager - Women's Apparel works closely with the Planning team to ensure all element of buying cycle is adhere to, both professionally and timely and works alongside with Category Director to influence seasonal budgets and production of assortment plans.

In additional, the Regional Category Manager - Women's Apparel will understand and build on all current processes, from both Micro and Macro aspect, and influence them in a positive and effective manner if necessary.

We are looking for a leader who is strong in Retail, E-commerce, Buying and Merchandising acumen along with strong management skills to drive the category forward in line with the overall company strategy in this competitive market.


  • Contribute to and be responsible for the seasonal budget for the lifestyle category.
  • Develop and implement the assortment strategy for the category to meet the overall company strategy
  • Lead the team through the bottom up brand plans ensuring subcategories are built with strategic thinking, strong rational and in depth analysis of historical performance.
  • Build, negotiate and maintain profitable supplier relations ensuring that a clear level of expectations are set, communication is clear, timely and professional.
  • Analyses and interpret  weekly, monthly and seasonal trade information to ensure key KPIs are met, such as sales, intake management , stock targets and profit. 
  • Ensure OTB is managed and traded pre and in season.
  • Working with team to ensure processes are efficient and streamlined.
  • Seasonal reviews on brand performance need to be prepared, delivered with the recommendations implemented internally and externally that allow continued season on season growth.
  • Comprehensive understanding of global trends, how this translates over time to product and then to the South East Asian market.


  • A minimum of 10 years working in retail environment with a focus on buying and merchandising
  • Educated to degree level
  • Possess strong sense of ownership with ambition, energy and passion                           
  • Possess commercial awareness                                      
  • Experience of the buying cycle and associated processes                          
  • Experience in planning and management of seasonal timelines                  
  • Flexibility towards communication with people working remotely and in different time zones 
  • Numeric and analytics ability with in depth knowledge of MS Excel 
  • Attention to detail, diligent, accountable and highly committed to accuracy                        
  • Experience and understanding of fashion e-commerce and the associated strengths and weakness this route to market possess is preferred
