Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Service Desk L2 support: Work closely and effectively with Service Desk team members to provide end-user PC, Mac and Linux support. Work closely with Application Development teams to provide support of cloud and on-premise applications. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• IT Architecture: Work closely with Infrastructure Architects to maintain overall IT infrastructure topology and landscape. Update and maintain accurate blueprints. 
• Cybersecurity: Work closely with Information Security Officer in various security concepts such as intrusions, network intrusions, web defacements, malicious emails, root and user level compromises, worms, botnet infections and other anomalous activity. 
• Operations: Deploy, maintain, execute and support procedures for high site reliability operations. Provide advanced support to IT Helpdesk engineers to ensure problems are addressed promptly and appropriately. Maintain lessons learnt list and proposes action to solve root causes.
• Networks: Maintain site network infrastructure to ensure reliability and security for local LANs & wireless connectivity. 
• Research and innovation: Work closely with Infrastructure Architects to produce innovative ideas and use of available/emerging technologies to address business problems.
• Policy and compliance: Execute and maintain standard operational procedures (SOPs) and IT policies. Auditing IT operational environment to comply with approved SOPs and policies.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 years working experience in IT infrastructure operations.
• Minimum 1 year working experience in IT architecture design and development.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proactive and fast learner. Passion about new concepts & technologies.
• Strong analytical mind and willing to accept new challenges.
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Flexible for on-call duties (whenever required).
