Associate Manager of Total Rewards
Our Associate Manager, Total Rewards is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and management of ZALORA's compensation and benefits programs. This role involves conducting in-depth analysis, building financial/payroll models, and providing insights to shape competitive, cost-effective total rewards strategies aligned with business objectives.
Working closely with our Total Rewards Lead, Finance, and P&C teams, this role also contributes to policy development, benchmarking, and regional program design across Southeast Asia. This will be a hands-on role that requires advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights that support business and people strategies.
Responsibilities:
Compensation & Benefits
- Build, maintain, and run models for salary structures, bonus schemes, payroll cost forecasting, and benefits costing.
- Conduct payroll modelling and scenario analysis to support workforce planning and budget alignment.
- Partner with Finance to ensure payroll models tie accurately into budget and forecast cycles.
- Assist in the analysis and design of benefits programs across South-East Asia, ensuring compliance with local regulations and competitiveness.
Data & Reporting
- Develop, automate, and manage advanced dashboards and scheduled reports in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee compensation, payroll, and benefits data.
- Generate insights and recommendations from workforce, payroll, and market data.
Policy & Program Support
- Assist in implementing and reviewing total rewards policies, payroll guidelines, and compensation frameworks that reflect industry best practices and organizational goals.
- Support audits, compliance checks, and reporting requirements.
- Partner with HRBPs and Finance on payroll cost management and headcount planning exercises.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll and compensation processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve reporting efficiency.
- Support special projects in total rewards, such as job evaluation, payroll benchmarking, or benefits review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in compensation & benefits/total rewards, or a similar field.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, macros/scripts preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial/ payroll modelling capabilities.
- Meticulous with data, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all outputs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex payroll and compensation data in a clear, business-friendly manner.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems, payroll systems, compensation survey tools, and reporting software will be an advantage.
