As the People Services Lead for Singapore and Malaysia, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end people operations and workplace experience across both countries. You will oversee the People Services teams in Singapore and Malaysia, acting as the primary point of contact for all People Services matters. Your focus will be on ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and a positive employee experience. While you will not process payroll directly, you will serve as the first-level approver for payroll in both countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a collaborative, service- oriented culture within the team.

Responsibilities :

  1. People Operations Leadership
    • Lead and supervise the People Services teams in Singapore and Malaysia, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
    • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee lifecycle changes, contract management, and maintaining accurate employee data.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of monthly payroll inputs; act as the first approver for payroll processes in Singapore and Malaysia (no direct payroll processing).
    • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely maintenance of employee data In the HRIS (Oracle system) and drive data quality initiatives
    • Oversee benefits administration, insurance coverage, and HR documentation management.
    • Serve as the key liaison between employees, payroll, finance, and external vendors for HR operational matters.
  2. Workplace Experience
    • Oversee the management and enhancement of office and workplace facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and engaging environment.
    • Ensure employee workplace support needs are addressed promptly and in line with company standards.
  3. Employee Experience & Engagement
    • Partner with the Regional People Experience team to implement and support local engagement initiatives, onboarding programs, and feedback mechanisms.
    • Maintain high standards of service delivery and employee satisfaction at all HR touchpoints.

 

  1. Compliance & Risk Management
    • Ensure all HR processes, documentation, and practices comply with local employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams on audits, statutory reporting, and government submissions.
  2. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
    • Manage relationships with country-specific vendors (e.g., insurance, travel, office management) to ensure quality and cost-effective service delivery.
    • Build and maintain strong partnerships with People Partners, business leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  3. Continuous Improvement & Projects
    • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance HR operational efficiency and employee experience.
    • Participate in regional projects, providing country-specific insights and best practices to optimize shared services.

Requirements :

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR operations experience, preferably in a regional or multi-country role.
    • Strong knowledge of Singapore and Malaysia employment laws and HR best practices.
    • Proven experience in leading HR teams and managing cross-country operations.
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
    • High attention to detail, with a focus on process improvement and service excellence.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong understanding of local labor laws in Singapore and Malaysia.
    • Hands-on experience in payroll coordination, benefits, and office administration.
    • Proactive, and solution-driven mindset.
