Corporate Finance Intern

Summary:

ZALORA is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Tax and Treasury intern to support the Corporate Finance Department. This role will work closely with the broad finance team across Accounting (R2R, OTC, PTP and Internal Audit), Business Partner Services and FP&A teams to support the daily Corporate Finance operations and contribute to ad-hoc projects. 

Location: 

Hybrid with two days per week in office. 

Responsibilities:

• Support on bi-monthly/quarterly indirect tax filings in Singapore and Malaysia, including analysis and extraction of data from SAP 
• Assist in the preparation of tax quarterly reporting packs 
• Support project teams on tax improvement processes and treasury (inventory and insurance) projects 
• Update daily bank balance for ZALORA cluster
• Provide analyses that are associated with tax, inventory and insurance 
• Support other ad hoc projects and financial matters as they arise 
• Collaborate on other Finance, Accounting and business functions that are supported by Corporate Finance 

Requirements:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (required in Finance / Accounting)
• Prior internship experience in similar roles preferred
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, and SAP knowledge would be advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must have strong mathematical aptitude
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, as well as the ability to meet critical deadlines in a timely and efficient manner
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize and organise work to accomplish multiple and changing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
