RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Strategic Business Partnering: Serve as the primary finance contact for supply chain and inventory planning teams. Translate operational data into financial impacts and strategic recommendations.
  • Inventory Management & Analytics: Own the financial reporting and analysis of total inventory (Finished Goods/OTB/GIT). Analyze inventory health (aging, obsolescence, turns), forecast provisions, and lead initiatives to optimize working capital.
  • Supply Chain Cost Governance: Partner with operations to track, analyze, and report key cost drivers. Identify cost-saving and working capital improvement opportunities and model the financial impact of process improvements. Review and provide finance recommendations on commercial contracts.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the financial forecasting (Latest Estimate, Annual Plan, Strategic Plan) for all inventory and supply chain cost lines. Explain variances and trends to senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with Accounting to ensure accurate period-end close and inventory valuation. Partner with Commercial teams to understand demand plans and their impact on inventory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Champion continuous improvement in financial reporting, planning tools, and processes to enhance clarity, efficiency, and insight generation.
  • Ad‑hoc & strategic analysis: Provide any additional financial analysis, modelling, reporting, or business partnering support as required by the department or company, covering cross-functional requests and urgent business needs.
  • Data integrity & systems: Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data held in systems; promote a single source of truth and continuous improvements in reporting processes.
  • Automation & tooling: Develop repeatable processes and automation (Excel, ETL, BI tools) to scale analysis and reduce manual effort.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or CPA/CMA/ACCA certification is a strong plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 2-3 years in a dedicated supply chain finance, inventory finance, or commercial finance business partner role is preferred.
  • Expert proficiency in financial modeling and analysis in Excel.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and planning tools (Hyperion, TM1).
  • Power BI/Tableau experience for data visualization is highly desirable
  • Deep Understanding: Knowledge of inventory accounting (standard costing, FIFO/LIFO), supply chain processes (S&OP, procurement, logistics), and key metrics (GMROII, DIO, Cash Conversion Cycle).
  • Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Ability to see the "big picture" and connect operational levers to P&L and Balance Sheet outcomes.
  • Influential Communicator: Excellent at storytelling with data, able to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders and influence decision-making.
  • Proactive & Results-Driven: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to driving tangible business results.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, a self-starter attitude, strong sense of urgency, and consistent adherence to deadlines.
