Product Quality Assurance - Senior Executive
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Product Quality Assurance Executive / Senior Executive — Garment to join THE ICONIC’s Own Brand Sourcing team in Guangzhou.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that THE ICONIC Own Brand garments meet our quality, construction, compliance and presentation standards before shipment. You will conduct inspections at factories and in-house, review products against approved samples and specifications, and work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
You will partner with our Australia-based Production and Product Development teams, as well as suppliers across China, to drive consistent product quality and build strong, quality-focused supplier relationships.
Responsibilities :
Product Inspection and Quality Control
- Conduct garment inspections and quality checks at different stages of production, both on-site at factories and in-house.
- Review products against approved samples, tech packs, specifications and quality standards.
- Check workmanship, measurements, construction, finishing, presentation and overall product quality.
- Ensure products comply with THE ICONIC’s quality requirements, safety standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Manage the inspection process from Purchase Order receipt through to inspection reporting and issue disposition.
- Create, complete and upload inspection reports into the Own Brand QC reporting system
Quality Issue Follow-up and Corrective Actions
- Identify quality issues and communicate findings clearly to suppliers and internal teams.
- Work with suppliers and garment technical teams to resolve quality concerns in a timely manner.
- Follow up on corrective actions and support continuous improvement at factory level.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, quality findings and related reports.
Cross-functional and Supplier Collaboration
- Provide feedback and guidance to suppliers and internal teams on product quality standards and expectations.
- Participate in product development meetings and pre-production sample reviews when required.
- Support product measurement checks, costing-related measurement review and consumption calculation.
- Support shipping sample approval both in the office and at factory sites.
- Communicate professionally with suppliers, offshore teams and internal departments.
- 5–10 years of experience in garment quality control, quality assurance or production within the fashion/apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric types and quality standards for women’s and men’s fashion.
- Experience across wovens, knits and sweaters is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of AQL inspection standards and sampling methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret tech packs, garment specifications and measurement charts.
- Excellent written English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with an Australia-based head office.
- Confident user of digital tools, including email, Excel / Google Sheets and QC reporting platforms or applications.
- Willingness and ability to travel across key garment manufacturing regions in China as required.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work independently across multiple factory sites.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Honest, respectful and solution-oriented communication style.
