Senior Buying Assistant
The SBA position is expected to be a strong operational and administrative support to the team, ensuring the accuracy of all buying processes and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Job Scope:
- Intake Management and Tracking: Chase suppliers on deliveries, updating and maintaining accurate and up to date intake tracker, updating Buyer on any potential risks and movements on orders.
- PO Raising support, troubleshooting with Buying Operations
- Reviewing production process: Ensure all stock are visible onsite and appearing accurately i.e. pricing, product images, product description etc.
- Supplier Images - Requesting images from supplier, preparing and ensuring images are provided to the Production team for retouching and uploading.
- Resolving & addressing all product related queries from different departments
- Support Buyer in report creation.
- Develop cross-departmental links to improve processes and principles
- Assists in the Management of the supply chain/brand base. Understands the importance of building strong and professionally reciprocal links with suppliers and maintains a professional friendly manner in all circumstances.
- Clear understanding of their department codes, customer profiles and changing buying habits.
- Actively drive and manage intake through relevant actions (eg rephase, cancellations)
- Assisting the Buyer with new brand on-boarding to gain an understanding of company terms and conditions as well as the supplier agreement.
- Participate and contribute alongside the Buyer & Planner in range & season reviews
- Supports Buyer in season and brand reviews to identify strength and weaknesses, providing solutions to improve on potential weaknesses.
