Senior Executive People Services
As our Senior Executive / Supervisor – People Services, you will oversee the daily People Services activities in ZALORA Malaysia and manage a local team. This role plays a key part in ensuring HR operations run smoothly and efficiently while supporting compliance and coordination across the region.
You’ll handle full-scope HR operational tasks and payroll for Malaysia, with preferred knowledge of payroll practices in Singapore, Hong Kong, and China. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to step up and grow in a regional HR environment. This role will be reported directly to the ZALORA Regional People & Service Lead (SEA).
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage daily People & Services operations in Malaysia.
- Supervise and guide the Malaysia People Services team.
- Handle end-to-end payroll processes for Malaysia and ensure statutory compliance.
- Maintain and update HRIS records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage HR documentation including employment letters, contracts, employment permit, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Work closely with regional HR teams on operational alignment and process improvements.
- Support local audits and HR compliance efforts.
- Coordinate with external vendors and authorities for statutory reporting and labor requirements.
Requirements :
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in HR operations, including hands-on payroll processing for Malaysia.
- Regional Knowledge: Familiarity or prior exposure to payroll regulations in Singapore, Hong Kong, and China is a strong advantage.
- Systems & Tools: Proficiency in HRIS systems (Oracle or equivalent), Microsoft Excel, and experience with payroll software.
- Language: Excellent communication in English is required. Mandarin/Chinese language ability is a strong plus to support regional coordination.
- Attributes: Organized, detail-oriented, people-centric, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
